How to Fund Your Payout Service

Each service in your Fapshi account has its own balance. Payments you collect through the API go into your collections service balance, and payouts made with the Payout API are paid from your payout service balance. Before you can make payouts, your payout service needs enough money to cover them. You can fund it in two ways.

Option 1: Transfer from your collections service

On the Fapshi web dashboard (the Balances section of your collections service) or the mobile app (the Balances/Services tab), transfer the amount you need from your collections service to your payout service.

• Speed: the transfer is instant.
• Fee: transfers between your own services are free.

Option 2: Top up your payout service

You can also add money to your payout service directly, with MTN MoMo or a bank deposit.

• Speed: top-ups are approved manually by Fapshi and can take up to one business day.
• Fee: top-ups cost 2.2% of the amount.

Things to know

• Not automatic: money collected through the API stays in your collections service until you move it.
• Not available through the API: the API can make payouts from your payout service balance, but it can't move money between services or top up a balance. Use the dashboard or the mobile app for that.
• Payout limits: through the API, there's no limit on the total amount you can pay out. Each payout must be between 100 XAF and 500,000 XAF.
